Knowledge aims: Ss can understand and use the following words: study too much, enough sleep, hang out with friends, allow sb. To do sth. Get into a fight with sb./ have a fight with sb. By the end of class, students will be able to (1) talk about the problems in their life ; (2)give advice by using the sentence pattern why dont you do ? You could? Or you should?. 2. Ability Objects 1. Try to improve Ss listening and speaking skills . 2. Try to use the target languages to communicate with each other . 3. Moral Objects 1. Learn to ask for help or share problems when in trouble. 2. Learn to help others by giving advice. 3. Develop a positive attitude to life, be brave and be patient. Teaching difficult and important points: How to give proper advice to others . Give advice using Why dont you? Why not? You should. You could Teaching procedures: Step I. Lead-in Enjoy a song Trouble is a friend. Ask Ss “ Do you think trouble is a friend?” “Do you have any trouble?” Lets see what your trouble is. Step II. Words and phrases 1.Teach Ss trouble with pictures. Learn some trouble. I have to study too much, so I dont get enough sleep./ I have too much homework, so I dont have any free time to do things I like./ My parents dont allow me to hang out with my friends./ I have too many after-school classes./ I got into a fight with sb.= have a fight with sb. 2. Show the key phrases. Ss read together. 3. A guessing game. Show pictures. Imagine this is you. Can you guess “ Whats wrong with you?” Then read together. Step III. Listening 1. Introduce two of my friends. They have some trouble. Listen and circle the problems you hear. 2. Listen again and check the answers. Step IV. Structure teaching. 1.My friends have trouble, can you give them advice? Teach how to give advice. You should/could Why dont you/ Why not? Step V. Pair work. 1. Read a conversation with a student. Give an example to Ss. 2. Talk with your partner, and tell him/her about your trouble and ask him/her to give you some advice. Step VI. Group PK 1.Show three boxes. Each box has a problem. Ss give suitable advice as much as they can. The group which gives the most advice is the winner. 2.Ss put up their hands and give advice. Step VII. The teacher says Ask Ss to be brave and be patient. Step VIII. Homework A: Write a report about your classmates trouble and give your advice. B: Make 3 conversations about ones trouble and give advice. 教学反思:教学反思: 本节课是听说课,通过歌曲 Trouble is a friend,询问学生是否有烦恼,进 而导入新课,并且使用小组竞赛形式有效的调动了学生的积极性。整节课各环 节完备,衔接较为顺畅,注重对学生的引导,引导学生掌握新知,而非灌输。 但是依然存在不足之处,听力处理不到位,还有之后学生提建议的环节多用 You should/could 句型,很少使用 Why dont you/why not 句型,偏离本节课重点。 学生偏离重点时,应当及时给予纠正,引导他们多多使用本节课的重点句型。 最后,pair work 部分耗时过长,导致稍有拖堂,而且当堂检测也没有完成,时 间分配不到位,在以后的教学过程中更应该注重时间的把握和分配。
