New words and expressions . 2.To improve students reading skills by task reading . 教学思路:教学思路: 本课教学是人教版八年级下册第一单元第四课时。本单元主要内 容是阅读教学,它不仅包括语言知识点的学习,还有阅读能力的提高 训练,同时还承担着培养学生正确的情感态度,价值观的任务。学生 们都爱运动

    3、,运动中发生意外很难免。通过 2a 任务的完成,引导学 生谈论运动中的意外,尤其是出示本课主人公的断臂图片,激起学生 的阅读愿望。在阅读中,运用三种阅读技巧和一个阅读策略,设置任 务并检验学生,逐步深入阅读材料,帮助学生对文章的理解。让学生 体会到 Aron Ralston 当时的处境,割下自己胳膊的决心和毅力,学习 他割腕自救的勇气。 本课重在“任务型阅读”任务解决,课后的作业的设置弥补了课 堂的不足-没有对课堂阅读材料进行细致的知识梳理。 教学工具:教学工具: multimedia ,blackboard 教学步骤教学步骤 Step1 Greetings T: Hello,class! Activity 2a Get students to discuss in pairs about what accidents or problems can happen when we do sports. Then check the answers together . 3.Show the photo of Aron Ralston without the righ

(2)Check the answers with the students and help them understand the passage. 3.Careful reading Group work: Guide students to

    7、 read the passage carefully and answer the questions in 2d . Then check the answers . Step 4 Reading strategy T:Writers describe events in a certain order . Finding the order of the events will help you understand what you are reading. Ask students to put the sentences in 2e in the correct order .Th

Step 5 Consolidation Show the target phases and useful expressions by looking through the passage ,ask students to understand them .If necessary ,explain some difficult expressions. Eg : take risks, in a very dangerous situation ,a 360-kilo rock ,by himself,free,run out, be re

    9、ady use sth to do sth ,cut off , so that , climb down t, tell of, the importance of , of being in control of ones life, keep on V-ing ,the same spirit as There were many times when Aron almost lost his life because of accidents. On that day, Arons arm was caught under a 360-kilo rock that fell on hi

    10、m when he was climbing by himself in the mountains. This means being in a difficult situation that you cannot seem to get out of. .before we have to make a decision that could mean life or death .
