    7、V.Teaching procedures Step1 .Leading-in and warming-up 1.Ask them to introduce the names of their groups. 2.Ask them to watch a short video about volunteer activities.Then ask some questions. 3.Check their answers. Step2.New points input 1.Language presentations. 1.Ask them to draw lines of the phra

    8、ses and the chinese meanings. Then check their answers. 2.Learn the new sentence patterns with pictures.Check their preview work. 3.Practice the main phrases with pictures,then let them know “the roses in her hands,the flavor in mine.” Step3.Pairwork 1.Show them an example on the screen to talk abou

    9、t how to help others.Then give them 2 minutes to prepare for a dialog,then ask some pairs to act it out. Step4:Listening practice (1b-2b) 1.Pre-listening. Get Ss to read the sentences in 1b and make predictions like how many people are talking in the conversation, what they are talking about. 2.Whil

    10、e-listening. Listening for gist. Remind the Ss they are going to hear four conversations. Tell the students they should find out the order. Play the recording for Ss, and have them compare their answers in pairs. The answers to 1b: 3, 2, 4, 1 3.2a and 2b give Ss listening practice with the target la

    11、nguage. 1)Pre-listening. T can guide Ss to have a discussion about what they can do for City Park Clean-Up day. T can write down their suggestions on the blackboard. Then call Ss attention to the picture and have the Ss make a prediction about in how many ways they are planning a City Park Clean-Up

    12、Day. 2)While-listening. Play the recording for the first time and do activity 2a. The answers to 2a: b, c, e 3)Play the recording again and do activity 2b. The answers to 2b: 1,come up with2, put off3, put up4, hand; out5, call up If Ss give some incorrect answers, T can play the recording again. 4)

    13、Post-listening. In the post-listening stage, T can ask Ss to role-play the conversation in 2b. Ss can write down the key information on small flash cards. Step5.Groupwork :(The best designer!) 1.If we have a “learn from uncle LeiFeng”activity,what should we do to let others know it?Please work in gr

    14、oups,and design the best plan.Each group needs to choose one student to introduce your plan. 2.First,show them a video of “leaarn from uncle LeiFeng”,then give them a few minutes to prepare.At last,ask some students to introduce the design of their groups. Step6. Summary 1.Guide Ss to work in groups and talk about: Q1: What kinds of volunteer work do you know? Q2: Which kind of volunteer work do you want to do best? Why? 2.Get the group leader (GL) to make a report about their summary. Step7:Homework 1.Please come up with more waysto help others. 2.Design a volunteer activity.
