Show some pictures to students and review “Whats the matter? ” Practice these conversations. Look and say: Whats the matter? I have a cold./I have a fever./ I have a toothache./ I I have a

Step 4 Listen and Say 1.Listen and number the key words 1-5 in the order you hear them. toothache cough and sore throat fever stomachache cut myself Play the tape for the students,then check the an

    7、swer. The right answer: 4,2,1,3,5. 2.How do we give advice if somebody is ill? You should 你应该 e.g.A: I have a toothache. B: You should see a dentist. 用法展现 should should 属情态动词, 后接动词原形, 没有人称和数的变化。用于提出建议劝告别人。 should 的否定形式为 should not, 通常缩写为 shouldnt。 纠正别人, “ 应该;应当” You shouldnt drink .你不应该喝酒。 提出或征询建议,

Step 5Languages points 1.Whats the matter with sb? = Whats the trouble with sb? = Whats wrong with sb? 注:with 为介词,后跟人称代词宾格,如 her,him,them

    12、等。 2.在英语中,表达“疼痛或不舒服”时的常用结构: (1)have/has+a 病症have a cold/fever (2)have/has+a+sore+发病部位 sore 是一个独立的形容词,指的是身体某一部位的酸痛。 如:have a sore throat,have a sore back, have a sore neck. (3)have/has+a+部位-ache -ache 作后缀,常与表示身体部位的名词合成一个新词,表身体某部位疼痛, 如:have a toothache , have a headache , have a stomachache . Look and
