Part 2 Teaching aims 1.Knowledge aims: 1.1Enable Ss to listen, speak, read, and understand the words such as: supermarket,

    3、taxi, sweater, cool etc, and learn to use in the real situation. 1.2Enable Ss to read and understand the whole passage, and to finish the exercises and writing tasks. 2.Ability aims: 1. Develop Ss basic ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, stimulate Ss language creation ability and t

    4、hen finish the task-based activities. 2. Develop Ss the skills and the abilities of getting information and dealing with information in self-reading period. 3. Develop Ss the skills and the abilities of studying in groups and cooperate with others. 3.Emotion aims: Guide Ss think more and try their b

    5、est to speak out their thoughts in class. Part 3 Teaching emphasis and difficulties. 1. Difficulties: a: How to use the past tense to describe . b: Enable Ss to master the long sentence ,and try to say them flouently etc. 2. Part 4Analysis of the students The students of Grade Six have already learned English for several years. They have acquired a base in

    7、 English reading and learning experience. They can communicate with others with simple language. But they are not very clear in the way of English reading. Therefore I design this lesson to try to have Ss learn some reading methods and skills,that is to make the reading lesson easy, and have the Ss

    8、understand the steps in reading practice. In the help of the multimedia, create more language invironment to let Ss try to think and do in English. Part 5 Teaching procedures and my purpose In this lesson I mainly used the task-based learning methods. I present the tasks with the help of listening,

    9、scanning, reading, intensive reading, discussing, and writing, etc. in order to help Ss finish the tasks effectively. I design the activities such as music leading, free talk, guessing game, culture edification etc. and arrange individual work, pair work, group work for Ss to practice English. All t

    10、he procedures are divided into three parts: Pre-reading, While-reading and Post-reading. Part 6 Teaching aids multimedia courseware, some pictures, and words cards, exercise paper, etc. Part 7 Teaching procedure Pre-reading Step1.Warm-up: 1. Greeting 2. Warm up (1)Sing a song (2) Play a game to revi

    11、ew the past tense. (3) Free talk with the Ss using the past tense. While-reading Step1Show new words and talk about them 1. Look at the picture, guess, and try to talk about it. Step2. Homework 1.Read this talk for several times, try to say it by yourself or act with your classmates. Read(会读): Speak(会说): Methods and purpose: Homework is the output period in the post-reading. The homework design is to consolidate what theyve learned, to practice language and develop their imagination and creation after class .
