It is celebrated on May 5th in Chinese lunar calendar. People usually have the Dragon Boat Race. We will watch the race near the Pearl River. In the race, we can see brave racers and beautiful dragon-shaped boats. On this day, people make zongzi by themselves which contains sticky rice(糯米), bean paste(豆沙), fresh meat and egg yolk. People carry the small spice bag (香 包) . They believe these bags can drive away evil spirits and bring fortune and happiness. People also drink the Chinese liquor(酒) as protection from evil and disease for the rest of the year. In one word, all activities are aim to protect themselves from evil and honor the poet Qu Yuan.
