Class Opening 1. Greeting T: Good morning! Boys and girls! S: Good morning! Teacher! T: Nice to see you. S: Nice to see you, too. 2. T: Today Im your tour guide. You can call me Lily. Welcome to Beijing. Welcome to our touring party. These days, we went to some famous places in Beijing. Such as Tiananmen Square, the Palace Museum, the Great Wall, Wangfujing Street and so on. And we took many pictures. You can choose your favourite picture to say. S: OK T: What is your favourite picture? S: T:Why do you like it? T: The Great Wall is very long. So it has another name The Ten- thousand-Li Great Wall (one thousand, two thousand, three thousandten thousand. Wow! it is so long. ) (设计意图:提前解决文中的新授词汇,为读懂整篇故事构建支架。) Step 2: While-reading 1. Listen and order T: Today Mrs Li, Li Ming, Danny and Jenny are going to the Great Wall! What happens? Now Lets listen. But first, I have 4 pictures for you. After listening, please order the pictures, OK? S: Yes. Check the answers. T: Picture1, They are going to the Great Wall by bus. They feel excited. Picture2, Wow! It is so long. In China, we call the Great Wall the Ten- Thousand-Li Great Wall. People often say: He who does not go to the Great Wall is not a true man. T: Have you been to the Great Wall? S: T: You are true men. Me,too. Danny wants to be a true man. Picture 3, So Danny wants to write his name on the Great Wall. But Li Ming says no. Dont draw or write on the Great Wall. Lets keep it clean and beautiful. Picture 4, What a wonderful place to visit. We are lucky to see it. We should protect it! (设计意图:听录音为学生提供地道的语音、语调,听音后排图可以 检测学生的听力水平,并初步感知课文。) 2. Read aloud and answer T: Open your books and read it aloud, then answer my questions. Here are my questions. 1. Who wants to try? (设计意图:大声朗读后回答问题,整体感知故事,培养学生自主学 习的能力。) 3. Read silently and fill in the blanks. T: There is a piece of paper on your desk. Lets read the story silently and fill in the blanks. Five minutes for you. OK, begin. T: Who can fill in the blanks? S:(找学生填空完并齐读) (设计意图:让学生带着任务默读,从细节中再次感知故事。) 4. Extension T: You did a good job! I am Lily. I want more people to know me. So I write my name on the Great Wall. T: Am I right? S:No. T: I am sorry .I am wrong. I cant write my name on it. T: The Great Wall is very famous and important. So when you travel , you will see some one like Danny. What should you say to them? S: T: When we travel, we should be a civilized tourist. We cant draw or write. We cant spit or litter everywhere.
