Its mainly about asking and answering the price when you go shopping. Its helpful for students to communicate in the daily life. 2.Teaching objectives. Knowledge objectives: a. Students can listen, speak, read and write the words : pineapple, pear, orange. And master the new sentences: -How much is it? -Its _____ dollar(s). -How much are they? -Theyre _____ dollar(s). b. Students are able to listen, speak and read the following words: watermelon, banana, dollar, help, want. And know the sentence: Can I help you? Ability objectives: a. Students can use the new sentence structure to ask and answer. b. To develop the students abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing . Emotion objectives: a. To cultivate the students ability of independence of buying things. b. To help students realize the importance of polite expressions. 3. Key points and difficult points. The key points are to make the students get to know the name of fruits and how to ask and anwser with the sentence structure. -How much is it? -Its _____ dollar(s). -How much are they? -Theyre _____ dollar(s). The difficulty is how to distinguish the two sentence structures. P Part2. Teaching procedures Step1 Warm-up and revision First I use a chant to review the numbers. Then review the words in unit 1 by Flash Card. Step2 Presentation and practice. 1. To teach “pineapple and watermelon”, I use the lyrics of PPAP to lead to. And the students can understand the meaning of the words through the pictures. According to the character of compound words, I make students practice the word by pine, apple, pineapple; water, melon, watermelon, two by two. And encourage them try to say other compound words. 2. To teach “pear” Then I use the sound of minions to teach “banana”. 3. Last I use a riddle to teach “orange”. Step3 Game time. When you see the fruit, read and cut it. When you see the bomb, please keep quiet. Step4 Dialogue and role-play Come to Seven Eleven to buy something using the dollars you get and learn how to ask and answer the price. Watch and compare the sentences. Use the record to show the students the dialogues, the dialogues are from the text and more aboundant than the text. Step5 Come to the text.
