    1、必修一 Unit 3 Understanding Ideas Like Father, Like Son 教学 设计 主题语境:人与自我家庭生活 语篇类型记叙文戏剧 授课时长一课时(45 分钟) 文本分析:本板块呈现了一篇反映单元主题 “Family matters”的 课文,语篇类型为戏剧,讲述了父亲与儿子由于立场不同,就儿子的 未来职业规划产生分歧和冲突,并最终由祖父调和的故事,文本按照 冲突如何发生以及如何解决冲突展开。 本文的价值取向在于学生通过 文本的学习,理解家庭矛盾的成因并正确看待、稳妥解决日常生活中 出现的家庭矛盾,并努力营造和谐的家庭氛围。学情分析本班学生英 语基础较好,学习

    2、态度认真,学习热情高。学生已经具备在阅读中获 取细节信息的能力,多半数学生能用英语自信地表达观点,但少数学 生在理解和整合信息、逻辑推理和分析情感走向、以及批判评价方面 仍有欠缺。 教学目标 1.学生能够读懂剧本,理解故事的情节发展,并在理解文本的情节发 展以及情感发展的基础表达出文本要向我们传达的讯息; 2.学生能通过语篇学习掌握戏剧的文体特征、 基本要素和常见阅读方 法; 3.学生能够正确看待并妥善解决日常生活中的家庭矛盾, 树立正确的 家庭观,营造和谐的家庭氛围,加深对单元主题的理解。教学重点引 导学生理解情节发展及分析人物情感走向教学难点引导学生理解戏 剧的基本特征及正确看待家庭矛盾、

    3、树立正确的家庭观。 教学资源教材、多媒体课件、课前学案、黑板和粉笔 Activity 1 T ask Ss to share opinions on the question: Ss share their opinions on the question and explain their reasons. When choosing your future college, will you ask your parents for advice? Why? Prepare Ss for reading. While reading Activity 21 .By saying “A bo

    4、y at your age in Like Father, Like Son also faces a similar problem. Now lets have a look”, T lead Ss to the passage and then ask students to find out what genre the passage is. 2. T asks Ss to pay attention to the major components of a play especially actions and dialogue and then has Ss scan the p

    5、assage and find which parts are setting, characters, dialogue or actions. Ss read the part of Learning to learn and know about what is a play and the key elements of a play. Ss scan the passage and find the four elements accordingly. Train the reading skill of getting key elements of a play. Train S

    6、s understanding of the key elements of the play Activity 3 1. T has Ss read in role until they reach the line “Sure, you know you can always turn to your dad for a chat.” and then tell how they feel as Father or as Son. 2. T asks Ss to think and share: What is the family atmosphere like? 3. T has Ss

    7、 read on until they reach “Making music is a job”, and answer the following questions “What does Son/ Father want? Why? How do they feel now? 4.T asks Ss to think and share: If you were Son in such a situation, what would you do? Why? 5.T has Ss read the rest of the passage and answer 2 questions: W

    8、hat does Grandfather do and say to calm Father and Son? Turning to Son, what advice does Grandfather give to Son? Then, T ask Ss to explore the intention of Grandfather doing such things. 6. T has Ss to think how Father and Son feel now and what Son would say in the end Ss read and find how Father a

    9、nd Son feel by presenting supporting information from the text. Ss think and share their ideas. Ss read and find out what Son and Father want and reasons for their wants; then Ss express their opinions on Son and Fathers feelings by presenting supporting information from the text. Ss think and share

    10、 their ideas on the question. Ss read and get related information to the 2 questions. Then, Ss discuss and share their opinions on why Grandfather does such things. Ss express themselves by finding supporting information from the text. Explore the plot of the play and the emotion flow of the charact

    11、ers. Be aware of the importance of having harmonious family atmosphere.
