Teaching aids: PPT, word cards, computer, etc. IV. Teaching procedures: Step1. Warming up 1. Sing a song: Are you going to write a letter? 2. Free talk about the day and weather. Step2. Vocabulary 1. Look at the pictures and answer the questions. E.g. A: Hi, May. Where are you going this Saturday? B: Hi, Joe. Im going to the zoo. 2. Elicit the new pattern and phrases. E.g. A: What are you going to do this Sunday? B: Im going to have a party. 3. Show some pictures and present the other phrases by using the new patterns. 4. Look at the pictures and say out the phrases. 5. Play a guessing game: What are they going to do? Step3. Target 1. Write What are you going to do ? on the board. 2. Write one of the bonus words, e.g. tomorrow in the blank and read the sentence. Model: A: What are you going to do (tomorrow)? B: Im going to (meet some friends.) 3. Play the video a few times and have Ss repeat. 4. Ask individual Ss to read the sentences. 5. Pair work: Make sentences after the model. Step4. Homework 1. Listen to the video and recite Target. 2.
