Analysis of Teaching Content Lesson 10 is the fourth lesson in Unit 2, Book 8.This unit focus on the subject Seasons, Lesson 10 mainly talks about the weather. What do you do in the different seasons. It also demands the students can describe the different cities. 【知识目标】 1. To master the words: coat, shorts, T-shirt, sweater, winter coat. 2. To master the sentence: What season do you like? What do we do in spring/ summer/ autumn/ winter? 【能力目标】 Improve the students ability of speaking, listening, reading and writing. 【情感目标】 Stimulate interest in learning English, and development of the students ability of using synthetic language. 【教学重点】 To master the words and phrases. 【教学难点】 To learn the actual function of the four seasons. Tape recorder, Multimedia Step 1. Warm-up 1Greeting: T:Hello,everyone. How are you? Ss: Fine, thank you. How are you? T: Im fine, thanks. Nice to see you again. Ss: Glad to see you again. T: How do you feel? T: What day is it? 2. Sing a song: Hows the weather? Step 2. Presentation 1. Free talk: What do we do in the four seasons? 2. Explain the new words with the pictures. T: What do we do in spring? Ss: In spring, its nice and warm. We take off our winter coats. We plant trees. Follow to the teacher. 3. Read the words by themselves. 4. Write them down. Step 3. Practice 1. Finish “Lets do it!”, look and match. 2. Check the answers. Step 4. Consolidation 1. Pair work: What season do you like? (1) Watch the conversation on page 25. (2) Read the conversation. (3) Practice in groups. 2. Show time. 3. Discuss: What season do you like best? Why? 4. Report. Step 5. Homework 1.Listen and read. 2.Finish exercises of this lesson.
