I.Warm-up and review i: Cover half of the picture and let Ss guess who he is. ii:Show some pictures including Ss ,teachers,doorkeepers and so on. iii: let them know you should say thanks when someone helps you . iv: lead them to know there is a special day called”Thanksgiving day.” in America. II: Presentation: i:use four pictures to show origination of “Thanksgiving day”. ii:explain the day to Ss and introduce some spcial food for Ss. T:”Whens Thanksgiving day?” “ Which season is it in?” “What can you do?” iii:play a guessing game with Ss to guess when is the special day. iv:show 4 envelopes to Ss and give them 4 clues to know the dates about Thanksgiving day. v: before they got these clues they should answer some questions. vi:Get the information about Thanksgiving day and write down these information on the blackboard. vii: show some pictures and choose the right number when people can do on that day. Vii: point to the picture and let Ss read the words after the video. Viii: Play the whole video and let Ss to read after it. ix: answer the questions about this passage. III: Practice1: (Quick Response Question) i: send every 2 students a card and let them read a short passage on it. ii: let Ss know some informatin of others specials days. iii:prepare 6 special days for 12 small groups. iv:prepare some question cards to choose and let two groups which they read the same passage answer the question.
