They are curious, active and fond of games and various of activities. And they should also be encouraged

3、 by the teacher to study in a relaxing atmosphere. Part 3 Teaching objectives 1. Knowledge objectives: Learn the words and expressions. Understand the main idea of the article. Master the usage of the past tense of verbs. 2. Ability objectives: Be able to use some reading skills: scanning, skimming

4、and careful reading. Enlarge relative knowledge by reading more material. Try to act the story. 3. Emotional objectives: Develop the spirit of cooperation through discussion and group work. Arouse students interests in English learning. 4. Cultural awareness: Experience pleasure through reading and

5、gain confidence by performing. Know more about Chinese tales. Part 4 Teaching emphasis and teaching difficulties 1. Teaching emphasis Master the relative words and expressions. 2 The usage of the past tense of the verbs. Try to act the story. 2. Teaching difficulties: Know the reading skills and use

Part 5 Teaching methods and learning methods: In this lesson, my teaching methods include audio-visual teaching method, communicative teaching method and task-based teaching methods. All the students will learn through communication and cooperation

7、. Besides, a computer, a projector and a blackboard are needed as teaching aids. Part 6 Teaching procedures Step 1 Warming-up 1. Greet the students 2. Free talk 3. Check the homework: to prepare the past tense of some verbs in the passage Step 2 Pre-reading 1. A Guessing Game: Listen to the informat

8、ion and guess what animal it is. 2. Talk about the things they know about a wolf 3. Watch the video about the story. 4. Pair work- Try to number the sentences with the pictures in pair and then check the answer. 5. Fast reading. Ask the students to find the right answers of the questions. Check the

9、answer. Step 3 Careful reading 1. Show the picture one by one and let the students fill in the blanks. 2. Explain the difficult words and expressions with body languages. 3. A game Ask several students to do actions about a word in front and others guess what it is. Step 4 Post reading 1. Hand out the tools for acting to each group. 3 2. Give them 5 minutes to prepare the the performance that they choose. 3. Ask several groups to act in front. 4. Choose the best performers and give reward to them. Step 5 Homework 1. Read the story twice. 2. Continue to write the story of the boy.
