TheyUnit 2 A Magic Day The First Period I. Teaching aims: 1. For learning skills, Ps will be able to master vacabularies about parade. E.g. used, studied, played, visited, ran, talked, jumped, cleaned, watched, the day before yesterday, parade, trumpet 2. For language knowledge, Ps will be able to use the patterns to talk about a parade day. E.g. What did you do yesterday? I played basketball. 3. Ps will be able to ask about and describe past actions. 4. Ps will be able to cooperate with others while learning and have team work spirit. 5 Ps will be able to know how to talk about past actions. 1. Be able to use the patterns: Did you go to the beach? Yes, I did. / Did Tony write a letter? No, he didnt. / Did Jenny sing? Yes, she did. / What did you do this morning? I read comic books. / What did they do yesterday? They made a model. 2. Be able to use the verb past forms: went, ate, wrote, read, made, rode, sang, drank II. Difficult points: Verb past forms and simple past tense. III. Teaching aids: CAI, Picture Cards , computer, etc. IV. Teaching procedures: Step1. Warming up Listen and chant: Where were you? Step2. Presentation I 1. Present the words by PPT: go-went, eat-ate, write-wrote, read-read, make-made, ride-rode, sing- sang, drink-drank 2. Have a competition in pairs. A: go B: went Step3. Presentation II 1.
