Did you cook yesterday? Step 2 Presentation 1. Show some pictures by PPT, learn some new phrases and new patterns. E.g. What did you do on Sunday? I used the computer last Sunday. 2. Teach the other new words in the same way. Practice the new patterns. 3. Point out the spelling changes, emphasize the pronunciation. Introduce last night, the day before yesterday and last Sunday with the calendar. Step 3 Practice 1.Mechanical drills(机械操练) 1)T: Listen to the tape and have Ss repeat. Play the tape and have Ss repeat each word. 2)Point to the picture and ask. (What did you do last Sunday? I used the computer last Sunday.) 3)Point to the other pictures at random and have Ss say the words. 2.Meaning practice(意义操练) 1)Guessing game. 2)Look at the pictures and make sentences. 3)Use a picture and make a dialogue: Step 4 Production 1.Pair work:Finish the dialogue in groups. 2.Report presentation:After enough practice, have Ss come to the front of the class to make their dialogue. Step 5 Summary Read and spell the words, then say the patterns in Target and try to remember them. Step6 Homework 1. Copy the new words; 2.
