The students are from Grade 5. They are active,

Students have learnt English more than 4 years, they have enough basic English background knowledge, so the teacher could attach importance to the communication with them, providi

    3、ng them more chances to communicate in English. 3. Students knew the verb phases “ get up, wash face, eat breakfast, go swimming, play sports” already. 4. Students can communicate with teacher by using the basic sentences in this unit or in other textbooks like “ When do you. ? What do you do.? ” an

    4、d so on. 5. Students can use sentences “ I usually/often/sometimes/. .” to describe their daily activities. So teacher should lead them describe their activities in order and try to write a short passage or talk about the day . Analysis of teaching contents: 1. Former lessons of Unit 1 My Day Part A

    5、 & B It includes Let s talk 、Lets play 、Lets learn and so on. 2. This lesson is mainly about the activities in a day. It can provide a fully preparation for the class if we review some verb phases that have been learnt in grade 4 and Book5. . Teaching contents Book 6 Grade 5 Unit 1 My Day Part B Rea

Language knowledge 1) Students can understand the passage. 2) Ss can read the passage with the proper pronunciation and intonation. 2. Language skill 1) Ss can use the sentences “I always/usually/often/sometimes/. . to introduce. 2) Ss c

    7、an use the key sentences to talk about the day with others in a real language context. 3. Emotional aim 1) Foster the students awareness of cherishing time and having a good scheduling . 2) to cultivate and foster students abilities of working in groups, and the consciousness of good-cooperation and

    8、 proper competition. 3) to foster Ss initiative and creativeness. 4) to comprehend and foster Ss interest about the story “The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe” and other famous great foreign stories. . Teaching important points and difficult points 1.Teaching important points 1) to make sure that Ss c

    9、an understand and read the passage fluently. 2) Ss can introduce their days in a good schedule correctly and skillfully. 2.Teaching difficult point 1) The understanding about the news expression in the passage like “ live on an island, be good at, get off” and so on. 2) Ss can reconstruct a new shor

Warming up 1) Review some verb phases that students have learnt before, such as go for a walk, clean my room and so on. (Purpose: After the r

    11、evision, it can foster Ss basic knowledge .) After this, teacher greets with Ss by using “Hello. When do you ? / What do you do on the weekend?.” naturally. Teacher shows pictures of Mike s activities on PPT, Ss read out the words. Teacher set the First Task: After the revision , Ss group the verb p

    12、hases in Page10, Let s wrap it up. ( 图片 1:将已学的动词短语分组 ) 2) The Second Task:Today Mike will introduce his daily activities on the weekend to us.Please everyone listen carefully and finish the exercises in Page 10, Let s check. (Purpose: After the listening, it can correct Ss pronunciation and intonati

    13、on of the verb phases. It also can foster Ss abilities to obtain the key information in the listening material.) (Purpose: After the listening and speaking, Ss can strengthen their memories about the phases by this exercises

After practicing, teacher says “Mike s friend comes today. He wants to introduce his friends to you. Do you want to know Him or Her

    16、? ” At the same time, teacher shows Robin s picture on PPT and says “Mike and Robin are rehearsaling a play.( Teacher shows Play on PPT and explain the meaning of “ play”.) Can you guess what play is it? Let s enjoy a short video. ( Purpose: 1.Ss can acquire the background knowledge about Robinson C

    17、rusoe easily by the the interesting video. 2. It can also build a harmonious atmosphere in the class.)     18、片 5:罗宾逊生活的小岛) ) 2) While-reading Before reading the passage, teacher set the Fourth Task for the Ss. Read and answer the questions In the first fast reading, teacher ask the Ss to answer the questions after reading the passage. 1. Where does Robinson live? 2. Does Robinson have a friend? 3. Who is g

    19、ood at sports? (Purpose: Teacher set an information gap to increase Ss interest. Ss can get the main idea about the passage more easily.) After check the answers, ask Ss to read the passage again (the second time) and finish the exercises “ Tick or cross” on Page 9. ( 图片 6:根据短文判断正误 ) Intensive readi

    20、ng( the third reading): Ask the Ss to read the passage again and find out Robinson schdule, the fill in the table. This is the Fifth Task, too.     21、find out what Robinson do according to the time. So the teacher set the Six Task for them: Write down the activities in the blank and tell others about your day. ( Purpose: Teacher give more chances to the Ss to use English and do the necessary exercise .By doing this Ss can get the fully preparatio

(Purpose: Practice and practice again no matter writing or speaking, it can really improve Ss abilities to express themselves in English, but also very helpful for the examination.) 4.     25、 about this class. And watching a short video again about the Robinson s life in the barren island.
