S:She lives in that tall building. T:Which floor does Miss Gao live on? S:On the twelfth floor. T:They are in Miss Gaos living room now.What can they see from the window? S:They can see buses and cars from the window. They can see a bridge from the window. They can see a ship from the window. (2)请学生根据黑板上的两幅图作简短叙述,如: This is a tall building.Miss Gao lives in this tall building.She lives on the twelfth floor.Now Wang Tao and Lily are in her living room.They can seefrom the window. Step 3 Presentation (一)学习序数词 thirteenth 至 twentieth 1.出示基数词 eleven 至 twenty 的单词卡片,请学生读一读,然后将卡片贴在黑 板上。 2.请学生说出序数词第十一和第十二,教师将它们板书在 eleven 和 twelve 的旁 边,请个别学生说一说序数词的构成规律。 3.请三位学生上台,在黑板上基数词旁写出相应的序数词,板书如下: eleven eleventh fifteen eighteen twelve twelfth sixteen nineteen thirteen seventeen twenty fourteen (1)告诉学生第 20、第 30、第 40 等整十的十位数的序数词的构成方法是:先 将其基数词词尾 ty 中的 y 改成 i,然后加后缀eth。 (2)请学生写出第 30、第 40、第 50 等的序数词:thirtieth(30th) , fortieth(40th) ,fiftieth(50th) (二)学习课文内容 1.整体感知课文内容。 (1)教师说:“Now Wang Tao and Lily are in Miss Gaos living room.What are they talking about? Lets have a look.” (2)教师播放课文录音或 CD-ROM,学生边听边看书,并小声模仿跟读。 (3)教师提出刚才的问题:What are they talking about?引导学生总结出:他们 在谈论窗外的风景和王老师居住的楼层。 2.学习第二段对话,并教学单词 also 和 really。 (1)教师板书句子:MrWang also lives in this building.并提出问题:“Which floor does he live on?” (2)学生自读第二段对话,找出答案:“On the fifteenth floor.” (3)教学单词 also,用实例让学生理解 also 的意义及用法,如: I work in this school. Miss (班上另一位任课老师)also works in this school. I like English. also likes English. 告诉学生 also 与 too 的意思大致相同,但 also 要放在 be 动词后面,实义动词前 面;too 一般放在句尾,用逗号与前面的句子隔开,如: Mr Wang also lives in this building. Mr Wang lives in this building,too. (4)教学单词 really,告诉学生:Really? 用升调读,表示疑问。 (5)请学生模仿录音,读一读第二段对话内容。 (6)完成课本第 54 页的 Learn to write.部分。 3.教学单词 neighbor 和句子 So youre neighbors. (1)教师指着黑板上的高楼图片说:“Miss Gao lives in this building.MrWang also lives in this building.So they are neighbors.” (2)出示单词卡片,教学 neighbor 和 neighbors,告诉学生该单词中的字母组 合 gh 是不发音的,类似的单词还有 light,night,right 等。 (3)完成课本第 53 页的 Ask and answer.部分,巩固 neighbor 的用法。 教师提问:Which floor does Tom live on? Which floor does Jenny live on? So Tom and Jenny are . 同桌学生进行问答练习,然后请个别学生展示。 (三)复述课文内容 1.教师播放课文录音或 CD-ROM 二至三次,学生模仿跟读。 2.请个别学生当小老师,领读课文对话。 3.分角色读对话。 4.请学生四人一小组讨论并尝试用简单的语言复述课文,如: This is a tall building.Miss Gao lives in this building.She lives on the twelfth floor.In her living room,we can seefrom the window.MrWang also lives in this building.He lives on the fifteenth floor.They are good neighbors. (四)巩固练习 1.完成课本第 55 页的 Listen and write.部分。 (1)教师领读这六位人物的名字。 (2)教师播放录音,学生写出答案。 (3)教师出示正确答案,学生校对。 2.完成课本第 53 页的 Read.Tick or cross 部分。 (1)教师出示 river,grandmother,grandfather 三个单词,请学生自读短文,并 根据短文的内容猜测这三个单词的意思。 (2)教学单词 river,并拓展操练,如:Changjiang River,Huanghe River 等。 请学生也说一说自己居住的地方有什么河流。 (3)教学单词 grandmother 与 grandfather,并出示单词 grandma 与 grandpa,告 诉学生它们意思相同,只是前者用在较为正式的语言中,而后者常用于口语化 的语言中。 (4)请学生再次阅读短文,完成短文后的练习。 (5)教师在黑板上出示一些疑问词,如:Who,What,Where,Which,Why 等,请学生根据短文内容,提出一些问题,提出问题的学生可以指名某位同学 来回答。如: Where does Sandy live? What are on the river? Which floor does Sandy live on? Step 4 Extention 综合活动:我们的家 1.请学生拿出上节课布置的作业,教师指名某位学生起来汇报自己家所居住的 楼层,并说一说从自己家的某一扇窗户看到的景色。 2.教师根据该生的汇报,提出问题,其余学生回答,如: Which floor does live on ? What can he/she see from the window? Who is his/her neighbor? 3.请学生四人为一小组进行问答活动。 4.小组汇报。 Step 5 Homework 1.听课文录音,模仿跟读。 2.完成活动手册中本课练习。 3.完成课本第 56 页的自我评价部分。Unit 8Dates of the Month
