7、构成2.序数词的用法(1)表达顺序序数词表示顺序时，前面要用定冠词the。如：五楼：the fifth floor(2)表达分数分子用基数词，分母用序数词。分子是“1”时，分子、分母都用单数形式；分子的数目大于“1”时，分母必须用复数形式。如：1/3 one third;4/5 four fifths(3)表达世纪年代19世纪：in the nineteenth century；20世纪90年代：in the 1990s(1990s)(4)表达“又一；再一”之意，序数词前一般用不定冠词。如：He has tried twice,but he wants a third try.他已经尝试了两次
8、，但还想再尝试一次。序数词前若无其他修饰成分，必须加the，其后接单数名词。如：If you dont know the answer,leave the first question and get on to the second.如果你不知道答案，放下第一道题，继续做第二道题。序数词前若有形容词性物主代词、名词所有格等限定词，则不加the。如：Tomorrow will be my fourteenth birthday.明天将是我的第十四个生日。带分数的词组作句子主语时，谓语动词的单复数形式取决于分数后的名词。如：Two fifths of problems are quite eas
