2、ts, such as 1.bungee jumping, ice diving, sky surfing, snowboarding, snowrafting, white-water rafting. The listening part is two people talking about extreme sports. Students will listen and fill in one table and some blanks with some information missing, which is difficult for them. In the speaking
3、 section, discussion will be carried out by using the expressions from the table as the output.The students are familiar with extreme sports now because they have information about them. They have learnt many useful words for describing extreme sports, which can make listening easier. The students l
4、istening skill of note-taking is poor and the listening passage is long and difficult for them, so finishing the table and blanks will be difficult. In order make it easier for them to fulfill the listening task, some key words from the listening are given to students. And some information about ext
5、reme sports will be introduced in the warming-up activity, which will help students get the general idea of the passage.II. Learning objectives According to the above analysis, I set the following learning objectives. 1. Learn words and expressions:bungee jumping, ice diving, sky surfing, snowboardi

Predict the content according to the key words. 4. Catch the key words and take notes while listening. 5. Develop love of sports
7、 6. Develop sense of cooperative learning.In this lesson, it is important for students to know how to take notes while listening. So it is the focus. The skill of note-taking is vitally important for the students during the whole process, but it is also a difficult skill for them at present.III. Tea
8、ching procedure. Step 1 is Warming-up. I will show pictures of bungee jumping, ice diving, sky surfing, snowboarding, snowrafting, white-water rafting while introducing these sports to students so that they will be familiar with the new words about extreme sports.Step 2 is pre-listening part. I will
9、 make a questionnaire in order to provide more information for students. The students will guess what they are going to listen to from the newly learnt words and phrases. And students will study the key words from the listening and predict the content as the pre-listening activity. Step 3 is while-l
10、istening part. Students will listen to two people talking about extreme sports, and complete the table. Then listen again to fill in the blanks. For the first listening, listen for answers to get the main idea of the listening. For the second listening, students will take down key words to fill in t
11、he blanks. Predicting with key words may reduce the students difficulty in getting the information. Here comes Step 4, post-listening. There are two activities in this part. First, in pairs, students use the questionnaire to interview their partners, talking about extreme sports they like best. This
12、 activity is pair discussion. Based on the listening material, the students will express their feelings about their favorite sports. Activity 2 is group discussion. Students will talk about one of their most exciting experiences. The students will work in groups of four. During the discussion they c
13、an refer to more expressions learnt in this lesson. Based on all these activities, students will have got enough input. Now, it is quite natural for them to give a meaningful output. IV.
