But she has been accused of throwing food up by her viewers to stay slim.Others have tried to copy Mizijun, including a Chines

In one of her most-viewed videos, the young woman ate a 17.5kg roast lamb.In December 2019, there were about 40,000 new videos related to food per day on Douyin. In June 2020, that number soared to around 120,000 a day. Many people tried to attract v
4、iews and make money by posting videos in which they eat unimaginable amounts of food. This has resulted in a lot of food waste and proved dangerous even deadly for some.A man, identified by his surname Wang, died in July from bleeding in the brain. He had also suffered high blood pressure and obesit
5、y from eating too much red meat.To stop this crazy trend, the Chinese government began to take action. President Xi Jinping called on everyone to “fight against food waste”. And the “Clean Plate” campaign was launched again after Mr Xi said that COVID-19 had “sounded the alarm” on food waste. He add
6、ed that China had to “keep a sense of crisis about food safety”.And, shortly afterwards, social-media companies took action. Users on the popular app Kuaishou are being told to “save food; eat properly” and on Douyin, words appear saying: “Cherish food, refuse to waste, eat properly and live a healthy life.”On April 29th, 2021, the Anti-Food Waste Law was passed in China to fight against food waste and save energy.
